Find the renewal amount

Before accepting an introductory offer, identify the first payment, the length of the introductory period, and the amount charged after it ends. Check whether the advertised price is monthly, annual, or a monthly equivalent of an upfront annual payment.

Make a simple comparison using the period you expect to keep the service. A lower opening price may not lead to a lower overall cost if the renewal amount is higher or there is a minimum commitment.

Understand cancellation before signup

Read the cancellation instructions before you enter payment details. Find out where cancellation happens, whether any notice period is mentioned, and when access ends after cancellation.

Keep a copy of the offer and set your own reminder before the renewal date. If you cancel, retain the confirmation and check that your account reflects the change.

Review the service itself

A coupon cannot tell you whether a subscription is right for you. Review the service description, account requirements, privacy information, and the controls available to subscribers.

For adult services, make sure you meet the service’s age and location requirements. Do not share account credentials or payment information with a coupon website; signup and billing should take place directly with the service you choose.
